high school football

UPDATE: Quite some time ago, i posted a bunch of pictures that I'd taken during football games. Apparently, I left little context, or explanation as to why I dropped these into a post. I still like them, though. 

The team in maroon was my hometown team, the Panthers of Eclectic, Alabama's Elmore County High. I probably shot 10,000 images of them, over close to 15 years as editor of the town's small weekly newspaper. 

I believe this was a blog I set up in an effort to parlay those pictures into a business. Alas, that entrepreneurial moment didn't last, and I forgot this space as quickly as my other such efforts. 

But the pics are still here. I still like them, though I believe I've taken better ones, both before and since. 

Off and on the last 15 years, I've had the opportunity to work the sidelines at high school football games, especially those of my hometown Elmore County High Panthers. Here's a few from 2008, the easiest year to add, since they were already posted to my Picasa Web Album.
